'Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping' Deserves To Become A Cult Classic

I loved this movie.

 

I finally saw this and loved it. I think the perfect parody of Macklemore on "Equal Rights" was a favorite of mine

 

Have now seen this 4 times and I enjoy it more every single time

It's probably gonna end up my favorite movie of 2016

 

I've been spinning the soundtrack nonstop for the last month. "Fuck Off" is my favorite and wish it was in the movie.

 

I'm responsible for probably a 100 or more views the video has on Youtube. So good.

 

Not only is Fuck Off hilarious, it's fucking catchy as hell too. It could genuinely be a hit if it had normal lyrics. Same with Mona Lisa

Though that's true for a ton of Lonely Island songs

 

My favorite part of "Fuck Off" is the line "I'm gonna live forever". As if a kid would have that thought. Kills me every chorus.

I may have to buy this damn movie because I'm itching to see it again.

 

The Blu-Ray is more than worth the money, there's like 50 minutes of deleted scenes plus full music videos and performances that got cut in the movie, a gag reel, and commentary with Andy Jorma and Akiva

 

The I'm gonna live forever" part is so good. It made me think it was parodying current pop/rap songs where there's one catchy line that doesn't match with the rest of the song but was put in as a hook that everyone can sing along to.

 

Speaking of the deleted scenes, I definitely would have preferred the ending with another bee attack rather than the sudden wolf attack that actually ends the movie.

 

I always thought Fuck Off almost sounded like a Simple Plan parody or something, like those pop bands that refuse to grow up.

 

Yup, I really wish they left all three in and then ended the movie like that

 

The second bee scene is my favorite.

 

As a former Simple Plan fan, I totally agree

Finally got around to buying the bluray! Watching it again right now and I'm excited to dig into the bonus features!

I bought a few copies to give to friends.
