this is dope

 

There is a unique fulfilling contentment I get when I have first put on both I Disagree and this EP. Like nearly everything I want from music I get from both of these albums instantaneously. First listen I connect and love it right away. Love the direction she is going. Going to be playing this EP a lot the next few weeks. CUE is probably my favorite after the first couple of listens.

 

This is so fucking good like "Say Cheese" is stupid heavy

 

It's like 2007 heavy and its god damn perfect.

 

Had no idea what I was in for with Say Cheese. Holy hell.

 

This is like “Art Star” era Yeah Yeah Yeahs mixed with the more accessible side of Dillinger. I love it. Who would’ve thought Poppy would be releasing this type of music four to five years ago?

I hope she continues in this direction.

just found out she's touring with deftones for the summer? pretty rad for her (although im not a big deftones guy)

 

amazing that she released another perfect song

Oh yeah, this is good as hell. She is a chameleon. 90s grunge/power-pop vibes.

feels a bit bland compared to her recent stuff. still solid.

 

sounds like it would be the intro song to a tv show that would do bad in the nielsen ratings but had a cult following

 

This is sort of the direction I expected after the Fear of Dying cover. I dig it.

 

Love the grungy pop here, and even if it's less intense of a track for Poppy she's still knocking it out of the park in yet another style.

 

Those background screams in the last 30 seconds are pretty damn intense. Overall, I like this though, she nails the style and I'd love a full album in this punky/grungy power-pop style.

I really love this honestly. She can do no wrong.

 

i think the song would fit really nicely into a complete album. On its own is it mind blowing? No. But would it be such a sweet solid track right in the middle. I like it. I actually prefer it to the songs that aren't EAT on the EP.

 

sucks that the deftones tour got rescheduled AGAIN.
but poppy's logo wasn't on the new poster with dates.
hopefully she can headline her own tour this fall instead.

 

oh definitely. not a deftones fan. Give me a solo poppy in smaller venues all day
