oh this is rad. Reminds me a lot of Flyleaf. I've heard that comparison thrown around before, but this is the first time I think it really fits.

She goes off on this thing, love how much heavier this is without losing what she was doing. I feel like I'm missing some subtext for that WWENXT clip but it was pretty funny/awkward.

but seriously she’s evolved from like a grimes knock off to one of the most unique and genre-pushing musicians in the heavy music community

 

Yeah, this record is ridiculously fun and intense, especually for a surprise release. Can't wait 'til she headlines again.

her screaming is so god damn good.

 

I loved the industrial and electronic influences of her recent works but this seems like on another level while retaining her quirks. Ditto on the screams, they're so intense and match the heavier material perfectly. I can't pick a favorite, all the previously heard and unreleased tracks are a blast.

Gotta say those The Dillinger Escape Plan / Devin Townsend undertones I hear in a few of them very much cater to my interests.

While I'm surprised that the project she was hinting at isn't a full length after all, I'm excited to hear where she goes next. She's unstoppable.

 

these are definitely the most well structured songs she's ever written. loved i disagree, but it was very noticeable (especially live) how much she relied on going from loud to quiet to loud again. this really feels like she's fully committing and it rules

 

Yeah this is sick. Agreed that these songs have more consistent atmospheres and song structures, and I think she knocks it out of the park.

 

The guy who gives her the drawing is a mute / artist / serial killer(?) who is being pursued by the girl who steps in. She is obsessed with him and feigns injury so that he will save her.

Its horrible.
