I think I liked the live version more because the screams are more of the focus. Also I hope she never stops screaming.
I respect the newer stuff but just am not magnetically drawn to it like I was with I Disagree and the Eat EP. But I still like that she's doing her own thing.
starting to worry that Poppy is one of those artists for me who have one great release (I Disagree) then nothing else quite matches up. Would love to be proven wrong, but so far that album is great and the rest ranges from OK to good
I think Am I A Girl?, I Disagree, and Flux are all really good, but I haven't been into any of her EPs
I Disagree was great, Eat was even better! Not been as into her stuff since then but she's interesting enough to always check her stuff out.
The title track is the best thing on this EP. Not feeling the rest much but I remain excited to follow her career. I love that she changes it up every single release, even though that means I sometimes can't get into a new stylistic shift.
I'm not concerned. Of course I Disagree was and is the pinnacle for her at this point, but flux has a good handful of songs and eat was solid. Bring on more. If anything I can critique her advertising/marketing team cause she could be bigger but man I'm totally into new hearing anything new she releases. Not all amazing but she has my peak interest
