Really like this album!! I was like wow, Poppy really channeling Knocked Loose on Dying to Forget…then found that Issac Hale wrote and performed on it lol
Been on a catalog dive all morning. Pretty wild the amount of work she has put out in just a small amount of time. In just 9 years she has put out 7 full albums and 4 EPs. Impressive!

Doing a uphill treadmill workout to this today. (x4 5 min reps). Eat The Hate started. I've listened to this album twice in full before this. But, I hadn't caught the 2 line lyric about cum before. About flew off the back of the treadmill at Planet Fitness
Okay i've been listening this nonstop for a few days now. I'm ready for my review. Idk if it's recency bias or i'm channeling my inner skip bayless here...... I actually like this better than Negative Spaces (although i was never AS big on it as some of you were in here, i like it but didnt hold it to a huge regard) I read a few of the comments here before listening and before going into this album my first thought was "poppy is making TOO MUCH MUSIC! CALM DOWN POPPY!". It's literally an album every year 1.5 years. So the early reviews were confirming my fears. You would think eventually there would be a slip or whatever, and sure a few albums were "okay", but she's still putting out a couple bangers per album and it's really impressive....and i think with Empty Hands she did find a way to carve out something just different enough to keep her fresh. What's funny is that I actually didnt like the first 3 tracks really...but from Unravel to Eat the Hate...that block is when my ears perked. Unravel and Time will Tell are solid "pop"/metal anthemy songs. I really dig them. Dying to Forget rules...and Eat the Hate is my favorite on the album. Then the last 3... Blink, Ribs, empty hands ended the album mega strong. I definitely dug the album. Poppy might be in my top 5 now, she's been really THAT impressive to me. The bangers arent stopping!
