Love the album.

I wouldn’t mind her doing a full on synth pop album next though.

 

I like this more than negative spaces but that and this are her best

 

Can confirm, this album goes off at the gym.

this album is pretty fucking great

on Dying to Forget and it's probably my favorite so far

 

Super fun. Enjoyed the hell outta my first listen.

 

yeah my first listen was awesome. think I might like this even more than Negative Spaces

 

will give this another listen soon. i do wanna like this, but some of it just sounds too samesy

 

Listening to this while thinking about how much fun she was to see live last year… this album is gonna lead to a killer show, I just know it.

 

I'm seeing her in March for the first time. This album has made me even more excited.

 

@Penlab are you a Poppy listener? There are parts of this that I think overlap with the kinda stuff you’re into.

 

I haven't sat down with her discography but she does align with my interests.

 

Wouldn’t hurt to just start with this one, tbh. Or maybe her last one; these past couple are my favorites from her.

I would (tentatively, since I haven’t had the new one long) rank the releases of hers I’ve gotten into as such:

Someday I will give the couple albums between I Disagree and Negative Spaces another shot. Neither was bad, but neither did anything for me close to the 3 albums I consider her peak.

I want to revisit her other stuff at some point but I didn't really like any of it, Flux in particular was a massive disappointment after Eat.

and I got into her with Poppy.Computer but it’s definitely way different than this stuff.

I'm hoping I appreciate it a bit more removed from the disappointment of the sound change.

 

Swap flux and zig and I'm probably on board with the rest

 

Flux is awesome, Zig is underrated.

I Disagree is still probably my favorite, but this and Negative Spaces are also both excellent.

 

Flux is her third best. Zig is underrated but interestingly Poppy herself hates it.

 

I’ll admit it took my a sec to get into Flux, but I bought the CD and jammed it a ton in my car and learned to love it.
