No, the spicy just swaps the mayo for the spicy sauce. They're the same otherwise.

The only time I've had Popeyes was in Costa Rica..still unsure about that experience.

I'm saying no because the strength of the sandwich is its simplicity. It doesn't need cheese or BBQ sauce or bacon.

 

I'll gladly try a different version of it, adding cheese/bbq/bacon sounds delicious to me

I'd like one tossed in buffalo sauce with some BC crumbles on it...

or with swiss cheese, a slice of ham and maybe a dijon mustard (cordon bleu style)

don't care for the BBQ sauce really, but cheese and bacon probably wouldn't hurt... maybe the bacon cheese one with some kind of peppercorn ranch or something

 

you could probably just tell them to hold the bbq sauce

 

Oh for sure. Given the opportunity, I'd just sub the spicy mayo for the BBQ sauce.
