Yeah if you didn't like the sauce then that pretty much ruins it from the go. I think it's one of the better spicy sauces in fast food personally, but it's all subjective. Getting a bad piece of chicken is a huge bummer too.
Popeyes Launches New Hot Honey Bone-In Chicken | Brand Eating so that's why I hadn't posted anything about it yet, @riotspray. I only check brand eating haha
While the sandwich was good, I was bummed when I got the spicy sandwich and realized it was a sauce; I was expecting it be their actual spicy chicken.
not really interested in that hot honey chicken, but if they made a hot honey chicken biscuit or something and served it for breakfast, then we'd be talking
the original is just so good, the spicy doesn't really bring enough heat to the table to make it any better. and even as a lover of heat, I do agree with the trendiness of spicy food being a little to much these days. that hot honey sounds fire tho
The hot honey sauce comes in a sauce packet if I'm not mistaken so you could in theory order tenders and biscuits, ask for the sauce, and assemble it yourself
It could/should be done, but ultimately I just want Popeyes to serve breakfast period. A spicy tender on a burrito with some cheese and eggs would be pretty dank.
they tryin to compete with the GOAT now Chicken Sandwich Wars: Chick-fil-A, Popeyes face competition as restaurants prepare new offerings
I've never had a sandwich there, only tenders/wings. Need to try one. I think CFA would be #2 for me currently. Wendy's used to be a contender but since they changed the lettuce, the sandwich is completely ruined, imo.
