I realize that it's a highly contested issue but I'm firmly on team regular sandwich

guess I'm gonna have to go try a regular one now, which means I'll probably wind up getting 2, because I love the spicy

 

I feel like America has way too much of an obsession with spicy food and people automatically contend that the spicy version of something is better than the original product, which I think is bullshit mostly. the only instance of this I can agree with wholeheartedly is the Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich because that's just perfect. I like spicy food a fair amount but it just seems kind of trendy to me at this point to say spicy is always better. I enjoy the original Popeyes sandwich more and I enjoy the Chick-fil-A original sandwich more than the spicy one (although I still enjoy it a lot). also not directing any of this at you necessarily @riotspray.

 

I can understand this perspective. I'd probably choose the spicy version over the regular version for 99 out of 100 items, but I particularly like the spicy mayo on the Popeye's sandwich.

Your post said you weren't a fan of the spicy one at all though. Hypothetically, if the spicy version was the only way this sandwich available (like if the sauce wasn't removeable/replaceable), would you ever go back to get it again? Or did you like both and just prefer the regular?

 

the sauce was just not for me. the chicken was also very dry but I attribute that to being a fluke more than anything. I'll try it again tho if I can get the regular mayo instead, which I'm sure so no big deal.
