Hate Me (sometimes) is the first pop punk song in years that is on constant repeat for me. Also I think they have really chill pop-punk personas:
(Reposting from Punk/DIY thread, it was suggested that I post this here)... Not sure if it’s frowned upon to do this kind of thing but I recorded this EP with these guys back in 2015... played with the band for a short time before moving to take a job. They went on to do a full-length and have recently released a couple new tracks before having to call it quits. Good bunch of dudes...
fucking hell yes, Stand Atlantic better become huge on this next cycle. Song is absolutely massive yesss
They're so fucking good they deserve to be bigger than they are. Absolutely love them and the song rules.
yes, honestly one of the few pop-punk bands I found recently that I find fresh. became a huge fan last year, and they're great live. they have everything they need to make it far
I completely agree. Seen em live a couple of times already which is always a blast and I don't know too many pop-punk bands at this point in my life that capture my attention anymore like they have. Very excited for the new album from them.
lmao funny you posted that, Belmont's the other band that's caught my attention. interesting things they're experimenting with, e.g. trap beats in By My Side
Yeah that Stand Atlantic track is a great song. Wasn't sure what direction they would take but I dig that.
I don't really like the style of synth effects that Stand Atlantic used on the riff of that new track, but I agree that the band should be way bigger and deserves to blow up sometime soon. That song "Hate Me" is sooooo good and so is basically all of Skinny Dipping. Her vocal strain on this track is really rad though, she put it all into that chorus.
The vocals were a big reason I didn’t dig it haha. She has such a great voice but I don’t think she sounds good yelling at all
