I've been spinning the paradox non stop this weekend. They perfectly capture 1999-2002 pop punk so the nostalgia kick is huge for me. Big chance for them to breakout with opening for green day. If you're in the area consider supporting them.
Technically one song on Spotify too ("Imani") but their lead singer Eric Dangerfield has a couple of separate songs.
Disney album was pretty fun. What i mostly find funny about this covers album is that they picked these acts as if it was 2006. Like, as if the person in charge of this is our age and said "oh man, we're gonna get all the great pop punk bands of today.... Tokio Hotel, Mayday Parade, We The Kings, Boys like Girls, Simple Plan, Bowling for Soup..." haha I know they got Meet me at the altar and the album was still quite enjoyable but i figured they'd sprinkle in a few more new acts to promote? My faves; - Remember Me (I'm a huge coco mark so this was great) - Cant you feel the love tonight (solid simple plan banger) - i2i (goofy movie cover....nice) - Whole New World (damn Ryan Key wants in on being an actual singer? Both of these guys sounded like broadway singers) - You've got a friend in me (just nice to hear a new act) Nothing really sucked? Let it Go is wayyyyy over done. So maybe that's the weakest one. But a fun way to spend a drive to work. No Moana?
I know this is shameless self-promotion but I recorded a Green Day influenced pop-punk track with a couple of friends, a guitarist and a banjo player. It would mean the world if you could listen and tell me what you think.
