Pop Punk from Japan.

 

If my favorite era of pop punk is early 2010s, is there any new band with that type of sound? I love TWY, Fireworks, Polar Bear Club, TSSF, The Swellers, Transit, etc. My favorites were Fireworks and Transit, who were pretty unique while still operating in the pop punk framework. Only newish band I've found that I really like is Koyo.

 

If you like Koyo try private mind and stand still

 

All those bands are essentially an extension of The Movielife which is a highly underrated band.

 

This band's singer used to play guitar in "I Call Fives" this album rules and they're super underrated!

 

Such Gold's first EP got taken down from streaming services and I'm kind of bummed about it

 

Stage Moms had that same energy and I really thought their best stuff was still ahead of them but they just broke up this year. Still worth checking out tho
