Featured "Naufrage" on the newsletter here: Liner Notes (September 11th, 2020) Good shit, excited for the new album.
Another French act whose new single slaps. If dark-ish electropop is to your liking, enjoy! Adding the Spotify embed because the audio in the MV is strangely in mono. I highly recommend this previous single too.
I don't know where to post this in a way would give it more attention. If anyone remembers the band Courage My Love, it turns out they stopped that project and are now putting out dreamey/grungey indie pop as Softcult. Some of their stuff reminds me a lot of Now, Now, beabadoobee, Soccer Mommy... anything in that vein. I feel like most of the users on here would love this. I'm impressed by the EPs they've released so far.
Honestly I can’t find many straightforward summer bangers for my 2022 mix. It’s like besides “As It Was” no one knows how to make a four quadrant endlessly catchy single these days. Yes including the last few pages of this thread. That Oakman is prob my favorite.
If “Bam Bam” and “About Damn Time” aren’t great four quadrant pop songs, then I’d say modern pop isn’t for you.
