Unfortunately I don't listen to them enough to make out individual voices apart from Perrie. I've liked a few of their singles casually but never really enough to check out a full album. I think I was always put off by the cultural appropriation accusations. It's like the first thing I ever heard about them before I heard their music and it stuck with how I perceive them. Which is interesting cause I think like most pop acts do it at one point and while I don't approve I usually criticize it but still listen to them. But maybe with LM it's just cause I heard the accusations first before I heard their music so it's always what I associated with them first.
Also I always think it's weird when I play an album track of a pop singer and someone is like "woah what is this? I thought I knew all their songs!" I'm not surprised people don't listen to full albums but I guess I'm surprised some people think singles are it lol? Like have ppl completely forgotten that albums are even released? Cause if you haven't listened to the full album like of course you haven't heard all their songs before.
I'm terrible at picking out individual voices in general for every single girl group and boy band, also with podcasts too And yeah I remember that, there's definitely way too much cultural appropriation in pop
It always baffles me when an artist releases a music video for a song off of a year old album and people think it's a new song.
Don't know why it took me so long but I checked out that Aly and AJ song and I'm into it Just finished up listening to Demetria's new album and it's pretty good too. I guess I'll attempt Miley's now
I just don't understand how certain groups get huge. I know it's hard to transition from UK to America but Little Mix blows 5th Harmony out of the water, imo.
Sometimes I listen to an album and think "huh, why would you even choose to add this song to an album?" Not even cause it's bad but cause it's just so nondescript and boring and filler I wonder how it stood out to pick in any way
I get the impression that Little Mix are bigger in the UK than Fifth Harmony are here, Fifth Harmony has radio play and Twitter stans but they seem to have problems with ticket sales and Little Mix opened for Ariana on her tour here they're doing fine
When I saw Demi a few years ago both Fifth Harmony and Little Mix opened and Little Mix completely blew them out of the water. I wasn't familiar with either at the time so there was no bias but damn they were on different levels.
So "TRL" is just music acts and no music videos - I guess I should have expected that. What a bummer.
When the queen graced us with literal pop perfection and we weren't even worthy cause everyone was so awful to her
I enjoyed Kelly Clarkson's new album. It's her first I've really listened to in a while cause I think she's supremely talented but I find a lot of her recent hits kinda generic and uninteresting but i liked the album a lot.
