Playing this non-stop. Haven’t connected with an album like this for a while. And it’s just a perfect length as well. I love 40 min albums with no skips.
I need to listen to this a lot more, but I was definitely surprised to hear them interpolating "The Hills" on "Sorry Not Sorry" the first time through haha
wtf this has been bugging me so bad. i thought i was crazy thinking i knew it already from somewhere. THANK YOU
Holy fuck, this is a record. It reminds me of what Now Now would sound like if they leaned more into the real instruments. Back half is immaculate.
i got tickets to see them in Portland in October last night. can’t believe it was less than $20 after fees for three touring bands. v excited — this album is hitting all the right spots, and i never thought i’d get the chance to see PONY.
This one is a hell of a grower. I swear I was listening to the album in my dreams last night. I woke up in the middle of the night and just started singing as I zombied my way down the stairs: "They're the sharks and we're the minnows! And it's easy to play, but there never is a winner-oh-oh!" I need to go see them again. I still find it wild my introduction to them was seeing them open for La Dispute. Such an odd combo.
That is how I felt seeing them open for Beach Bunny. You had, at minimum, 50% of the crowd filled with teenage girls and their moms, many dressed in prom dresses and sashes…and then Andrew from PK absolutely shredding and telling them to open up the pit. I think I have never felt so old at a show in my life
Wasn’t crazy on this at first but it’s really grown on me. Leona Street is definitely the stand out for me, but Easier Said Than Done, Bad Bruise, Not Too Late, and Exit Plan are all really great too.
Pool Kids and AFI are playing on the same day in Chicago next week and I'm weighing pros and cons on which to attend, if I even can. I might be leaning towards PK
ive never seen PK live but i heard they are fantastic live, i have seen AFI multiple times and i can confirm they are fantastic live. Plus aren't the pook kids playing at lincoln hall? that's imitate as hell!
