Chasing Hamburg and Clash Battle Guilt Pride were the only two albums by these guys I really got into. I think I'd give the slight edge to CH as an overall album, but I remember CBGP having some damn good songs on it too.

 

I hate to be that guy, but I've always been of the opinion that The Redder, The Better is their best release...could be because it still is one of my favorite EPs to this day. Every track on there is fucking brilliant.

 

Resent and Resistance is still a top 5 PBC song for me. That EP is perfect.

 

I also like their EP the best

 

PBC is dope to matter how u slice it but I find that a slightly warm take

 

This is one of my favorite things by these guys.

 

It's partially nostalgia related. I got into them with that EP and the material still holds up compared to later releases IMO...all of their releases prior to Death Chorus are at least 8/10 to me so there's not too much variation amongst the quality of their output.

 

What is a slightly warm take, and when did we start categorizing opinions as takes that get a temperature rating based on whether we agree with them or not

 

@swboyd and I have bonded over our love of malört-a-ritas so that was me mostly just poking fun at his opinion.

 

I just don't get the terminology these days, or the reason for it half the time. But now I want to know what a malort-a-rita is also

 

you're better off not knowing what malort is, much less a malort a rita.

I will forever be pissed the guy who said he would get me into the d.chorus tour date decided to leave the venue early and left me out in the cold for that show, literally.

 

To cause a whole lot of baseless speculation at this point, the majority of people posting on Iron Chic's announcement about their new split seem to think it is with Polar Bear Club. That said, I can't think of any other band that the image might represent...so yeah, let the rumors run wild.

If true I would loose my shit!!! But would be a strange way for them to return.

 

Wouldn't be surprised if it's b-sides, demos, or alternate versions of tracks as opposed to a full out reunion if it is them on that split. Or maybe solo material from Jimmy?
