I pretty much like every song on DC

 

DC is by far my favourite record for them. I jam out to the others but DC is just their tightest songwriting. His cleaner vocals make the melodies so much more vibrant. I will say, it's still so strange that he doesn't know why he can't sing like he did on the old records anymore...

If PBC ever reunited would seriously think about making a trip across the pond. They made a positive impact on my music taste over the past 10 years.

Just found out that Death Chorus has a digital only b-side called "Saw Blade"

Like 4 years after buying this album I realize it has a track 11 I don't know about. It's pretty good too! Should have cut Siouxsie Jeanne for it.

Anyone else not know the digital has 11 tracks?

Only positive thing Jimmy has never shot down a reunion at some point here is the most recent. He is pretty active on twitter...

That is a very good point! Would be strange to hear it with clean vocals but still would be awesome.

 

I’m still bitter that they never did a last tour or even made any kind of hiatus / breakup announcement. Puzzles me that an active band with fans will just ghost

 

I revisited Chasing Hamburg last night while doing some work on my basement - Holy shit, One Hit Back is still such a jam.

 

Immediately went to listen to this. Such a fucking ripper

Was in a PBC mood today and stumbled across this gem from the CBGP days. What a band.

 

Jimmy has been playing some solo sets in Rochester lately but I’ve not been able to make it out there for’em :(

 

God I love this band so much. I'll never understand why they never got huge

 

They had a string of really great albums and unfortunately that died with Jimmy's vocal cords. People will convince you that Death Chorus was a good album, and it was decent, but it sounds like a different band - even the vocals aside, there's very little edge musically.

Wax Bottles EP did little to nothing for me.

 

I was at this show. What a special fucking night, every single band absolutely killed it.

 

I mean, Death Chorus is a great album, musically, lyrically, and vocally - at least to my ears. It's just very different from everything that came before it (although the lyrics are pretty similar).

 

Death Chorus isn't a step down from their other albums IMO. A step sideways, maybe, but there are some really strong hooks on there.

 

This is one of those threads that gets bumped every 4-6 months and I internally freak out that a reunion is afoot
