I need to give CBGP a listen. It's been a long time since I've played it. Maybe I'll appreciate it more now.
Played it for my friend while working out the other day and he said that it was awesome and really well paced as an album
Wish they did Audiotree during the 2011-2012 CBGP cycle when Jimmy was at the top of his game. I mean just listen to how crazy alike these performances (first 2 especially) sound to the album.
Took my friend to Donut Friend and she got the Polar Berry Club donut but she said she'd never listened to PBC. Threw on CBGP during the drive home. I think it still holds up.
Such a good one, def one of my favorite donuts there. The Starting Lime is my go-to though, shit is too good haha
Polar Berry Club is my fuckin' jam! Drive Like Jelly and Strawberrylab are pretty high on my list, too. ...We should meet up there.
Music themed donut shop in LA called Donut Friend. Founded by Mark Trombino and all of the donut names are band puns haha
Wax Bottles made me want to listen to PBC. STJD 10 year next year. I'll gladly travel across the country to see them play that album. I've grown immensely as a person since 2008 and PBC was ever present for me.
While a STJD show would be amazing I just don't think it would be the same if Jimmy's vocals can't reach them highs anymore :(.
I was caught up in the moment when I posted that but you're right. At the same time, I wouldn't care at all once they started the intro to Eat Dinner. It would be worth it a thousand times over.
Donut Friend is amazing. Although I live in Los Angeles, the store is on the other side of the city from me, and (depending on the day) could be a 2 - 3 hour round trip. Checked it out for the first time a month ago and it was fantastic. I loved it so much, and I can't wait to get back. The Polar Berry Crunch and Youth Brulee donuts were my favorites.
Enjoyed the rest of the songs considerably more than the first two released. Wonder if they'll get a tour together
