He’s said on podcasts that they would probably play again but haven’t been asked if I remember correctly which is odd Fest or any NY show would make sense
Obviously I’d love for them to get to Chicago, but I agree if they ever reunite it’ll be Fest and a weekend in the northeast.
In a world where every other band has done some sort of reunion, it’s a crime PBC haven’t done at least one reunion show. If it’s because Jimmy legitimately thinks he can’t do it, I understand. But I’d kill to see these guys one more time.
After listening to this episode, it’s so clear he doesn’t want anything to do with a reunion lol such a tough beat
Yeah, its a little heart-breaking to hear. But I can understand his reasons. But I do think it will happen at some point either in Rochester or at something like Fest.
I was just thinking how it's been a minute since either of Jimmy's projects released anything. Will have to give this a listen
Death Chorus holds up. What a crazy time for this band though. I could totally see these guys do what Turnstile is doing these days had they kept going and Jimmy’s voice didn’t change.
There was another thread (I think the Turnstile one) where ppl were discussing Title Fight and how they're huge now in their absence, and it made me think of PBC and how much more I loved their stuff giving the similar-ish vocal stylings
They've been coming up a lot on shuffle recently. Only saw them live a few times but favorite would have to be that Glamour Kills tour in 2012. Such a killer lineup.
Miss these guys too much. Yall ever wonder if you were just a rich ass dude how much money you’d send your favorite bands just to play one more show
Every time this thread gets notifications I think about the time a friend (at least I thought he was) of mine told me he put me on the list for a show on their last tour. Waited on a long line in the freezing cold, being told I wasn’t on the list and then standing outside the venue with a bloody nose, crying because it was sold out. Bummer times, loved that band so much I also remember buying some of their vinyl at a record store and the guy telling me he liked them because they reminded him of The Beach Boys lol
I often return to Chasing Hamburg and Death Chorus - love those records. I actually just bought a second copy of the Death Chorus LP so I can frame the inside of the gatefold. Always thought the artwork across the discography was fuckin rad and very fitting for the band.
Echoing the Polar Bear Club love! Whenever I think about that era of emo/melodicore they were the best to do it.
