Way back on the first page of this thread, I said Death Chorus was my favorite PBC album, and I think that's still true. The other albums have higher highs, but they also all have a few songs I really don't care for. My take on "Siouxsie Jean" is that it's a fine song, but it suffers because it's the moment on that record when Jimmy's vocal issues are most apparent, and it feels like less effective version of "Drifting Thing," which is a top tier PBC song in every way.
I've never really been into "Killin' It," "Kneel On Nails," "Life Between the Lines," or "Religion On the Radio."
I wholeheartedly believe that Burned Out In a Jar is solely responsible for getting me into that record because of the balance between hard/soft vocals
Yep, that one and “Convinced I’m Wrong” (which is still my second favorite PBC song after “Light of Local Eyes”).
My favorite non-album/EP track is probably Dead Man. It's also one of my favorite PCB tracks in general.
WATCH IT BREAK LIKE KNIVES IN THE PAVEMENT OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH that song rips i also unabashedly do not care for Death Chorus their high point as a band was tracks 1-4 of Chasing Hamburg
This is nice but... why are his vocals so muffled? Feel like it would have been better if they were clearer. I relistened to CBGP yesterday, and wow do I want this band back. These side projects are nice but never stick with me.
Thanks for the recent activity in this thread. Got me re-visiting Sometimes Things Just Disappear and remembering how great it is.
