Considering it's a island-kinda-region, I was expecting some cool water types.

 

I'm not too fond of new water types (personal bias) just because Vaporeon always fills that spot in my team. Maybe if it had a 2nd typing like Rotom-W I'd consider it.

 

Caved in and looked at the leaked list.

 

Team Skull is wonderful.

the ultra beasts are catchable, there's a new special ball for them

 

Apparently Fly, Surf, and Waterfall are TMs now.

 

You have to press A to go through doors now, at least in the demo.

 

That is something that will take a lot of getting used to. It's gonna be tough for me because I murdered my A button when I used to shiny fish a lot.

 

I used to accidentally walk into buildings all the time. I like this change

 

From a lazy person's perspective, that A press is an unnecessary change.

It's not gonna change the fact that you can play Pokemon with one hand, but that extra step I feel like is gonna take so much more time when you total the number of times you have to do it vs all the times you just accidentally entered a building

 

Has there been any news or anything on how Solgaleo/Lunala tie into the region or ultra beasts?

 

Been thinking about this a bit lately, and given how disappointed I am with this generation, I've just decided on day one I'm gonna hack myself the 4 island guardians and the two legendaries. There's my 6, everyone else can fuck off.

 

Wow, in love with how you view an attack's info right there on the battle screen.

 

Looking over the leaked dex of 300 Pokémon.. they're really leaning heavily on the nostalgia of Pokémon go and the 20th anniversary.

 

Showing weaknesses is wonderful.

 

Just finished the demo and honestly I really like it so far! Playing Pokémon Snap again was fun. The setting feels really rich, I'm definitely excited to play the full game.

 

The one thing I HATE is not being able to use the D-pad to move around.

 

Not sure why they did that

 

Easier access for pokerides I think. And then Y is gonna keep being a shortcut for items.

Or might be because its omnidirectional now and mapping the d-pad to that is added hassle that they didn't want.

Purely guessing though
