Personally I like Megas as a concept and will be sad if they're not in Sun/Moon, but some of them are so broken.

 

They probably will be taking up the same Dex slot, and just have extra pages for the Alola forms.

That Rotom pokedex is gonna be so busy keeping up with all this new shit.

 

Salandit still my favorite innovation for these new games, cool design typing and ability.

 

I really like the idea of there being different kinds of the same species based on where they come from actually, ha. It's growing on me the more I think about it.

 

I'm mostly salty that's it's going to interfere with my way of storing Pokemon. Am I gonna need two Vulpix's and two Ninetails now?

 

For me it's a tossup between sandalit and vikavolt for favorite from this gen so far.

Alola Ninetales is pretty. That video got me even more excited for the games.

 

Mimikyu is def my fave.

Dancing birds ability rules. Makes it a really solid switch in, unless its stats are trash (which they will be). Second best sound related gimmick bird we have!

 

I'll probably wait until the Black Friday deals and just get a 3DS. Or maybe I'll pick it up early and get a 2DS. I don't know haven't decided yet.-

Yes. Typically, the mouse pokes (I'm counting it as one) all share English and Japanese names. This on is particularly good because its name is very easily pronounced and remembered. 'mimic you' is seriously just a fantastic name by all accounts. It is also very easy to convert to Katakana.

 

Yeah I like it a lot. Very happy with the name.

i like the new forms thing, i hate the new exeggutor form though. kind of wish they had made ninetales ghost instead of ice since that always seemed like a natural type for it and they already added ice to sandslash. the mantis is so cool and so are the birds. i always liked gyms and i am sad to see them go but a change is also nice.

 

Agreed. Ghost or Dark would have been ideal. I'm not sure where the idea of Fairy came from.

 

I'm interested to see what other first gen pokes got a region specific type change.

 

Hope it's not just gen 1 Pokemon.

 

Really disliking that Exeggutor.

 

I love the aesthetic, but can't make sense of the typing.

 

The typings reminds me of that fan-made game with the "Delta" Pokemon. Like, they look cool sorta, but the type combinations are all so goddamn weird and contrived.

Either way, Alolan Ninetales is majestic as fuck and is my new favourite Pokemon, so whatever.

 

At least when the added Dragon typing to some of the Megas it made sense to the mega design(and they all kinda looked like they could be part dragon before anyway), but with Exeggutor it just makes no sense at all. Why did someone think that was a good idea?
