If there's 8 gyms after the four trials than that would be excellent.

 

Vulpix is my favorite Pokemon and I'm pissed they fucked with it

 

So bored with gyms. I like that they're trying something new (hopefully it works though!).

I like how they keep coming up ways making the older 'mons more diverse.

I'm optimistic but still cautious as my real problem with the game is with the boring singleplayer and tedious postgame. Well yeah, Showdown exists and is more convenient, but I still want to experience that same convenience on a game I actually pay for.

 

I prefer ice Vulpix. Also funny coincidence, I just this second hatched a vulpix

 

I like both Vulpix. Ninetales is gonna be x4 to Steel though right? Daaamn (Gina).

 

And that souped up Pokemon after the trials sounds so promising.

 

It's one game. chill fam. Just trade in your Vulpix from one of the other games. This isn't worth getting worked up over. They're fun changes on the standard Pokemon formula

 

I'm not like seething with rage over here, calm down man. Making a new Arctic fox just makes more sense, weird precedent to set especially if they don't keep doing this in the future.

 

Also I don't care about the bad typing, that ice sandslash looks so badass.

That's my main problem with revising old Pokemon, I'd rather these just be new Pokemon than new versions of old Pokemon.

Also seeing both of you say chill out/calm down when I'm guessing you both are pretty chill is funny.

 

How anyone in the world could dislike those designs is beyond my. Beautiful. Plus, the Ninetales design is closer to the actual mythos of the kybuki.

 

I almost wonder if there's going to be another area that they haven't shown off yet that will have gyms, almost like in G/S when you return to Kanto.

 

Why?

I mean I'm genuinely curious because right now I kind of prefer variations of the older 'mon than add more to the already cluttered list of existing Pokemon.

I'm looking at it the way I see a Rotom in different forms.

Guys. I think I have been freed from needing HMs on my main team, since fly and surf were the only ones I always had with me. You have no idea how hyped this makes me.

 

I'd be hyped of Dragonite got a cool new version.

 

I wonder if that Vulpix will be able to learn Fire-based moves via TM or Breeding.

That would be kind of crazy.

Also they need to make Scrafty playable again.

 

I'll be so happy if they finally got rid of HM slaves

I've never really cared about different forms much. Any Pokemon that has them I usually get whichever one I get and then I'm done. I like having more new Pokemon. The more the better imo as long as they're good. I hated the Mega evos but I like this a lot more.

 

People complained for years that the gym system was outdated and uninspired. Now y'all just want to complain about it being gone.

 

Probably not the same people.

 

@SpyKi ah. Matter of preference then. I personally support Mega Evos in XY and thought it was balanced (needing an item slot) and a cool addition to the series. But if they didn't make variations and showed us a new arctic fox instead, I won't complain but I certainly would be way less excited.

@Henry I think I was the only one who complained about the gyms. But I do think I'm people.

 

Yeah I just thought they all looked like ugly versions of older Pokemon. I minded them less than the hideous actual evolutions gen V had since they weren't permanent, ha.

Honestly I'm excited for the new Vulpix and Ninetails and think they look wonderful but I'd like it more if they were just new Pokemon with those exact same designs and were like close breeds or something. Are they going to fill the same number in the Pokedex do you think?

 

I just bought Alpha Sapphire to go back and play it. I can't wait til Sun/Moon are out. I also have been playing Yellow a lot on the 3DS.
