Just caught this guy at lunch, my new strongest

 

wtf, what level are you. why am i just stuck catching cp 100 paras's all day

 

There is a pulse when I highlight one specific Pokemon in the nearby box and rotate. It did do it a few times when my character faced the same direction. As for it being the Pokemon I had highlighted, or a new one I haven't caught, i'm not 100% on. But it does seem to be a direction indicator to me. I'm leaning towards it being for the Pokemon I had highlighted, because there were no dark silhouettes in my nearby box when it did it.


Also, there is a park literally about 200 meters away from my job that has 3 Pokestops in it. There are two lures going, and though I can't collect from them when I am here, I can access the pokemon that come up in the park and catch them. Including my first Abra just now. This. Game. Is. Awesome.

 

14, and honestly this was out of nowhere. This is the first time I encountered something that said ??? for its CP.

 

I encountered my first ???CP pokemon last night. It was Pikachu. He dodged some pokeballs, hit some away, then ran away. But it was ok since he was the 2nd Pikachu to spawn in my room in a matter of 5 minutes, and I caught the first one, 208CP. But I need as many as possible as Raichu is one of my favorites.

 

Evolved a second Eevee and got another Flareon. Totally okay with that since it has around 1000 CP.

 

I used the new compass trick and successfully caught a high CP staryu and slowpoke. These are common in my area, but I selected a Pokemon from the nearby box and followed in the direction that I was pointed towards when the box pulsed after rotating 360 degrees.

 

its so annoying how once you hit double digit levels, it seems even the most basic pokemon take 3-4 pokeballs to catch.

 

Just completed my final Eeveelution with a 1118 CP Vaporeon evolved from a 400+ Eevee. Still don't know if it's a random selection or if there is some hidden rule to what they become, but I only needed 4 chances to get all three of them. I have double Jolteons.

 

I'm still pretty weak sauce at this, but I caught an Abra this morning, so that was cool.

 

How do you get that many Eevees to evolve them four times......

 

There are Eevees everywhere in my neighborhood. I have two Flareons and a Vaporeon, I'll be able to evolve my next Eevee soon. Lots of gyms have Eevee evolutions stationed at them.

 

Yeah, Vaporeon is on top of almost every single gym in my area.

 

i'll quit the game once I have full evolved versions of the three starters plus a suped-up pikachu. That will be my contest.

 

They are as prevalent where I live as pidgeys and rattatas

 

i think ill bail once the new pokemon are introduced. i was in like 5th grade when the original came out and thats all i know tbh

 

Android got an update today. Not sure what was fixed, but it's there to update if you haven't

Same here. Rattata, Weedle, Pidgey, Caterpie, and Eevee come up literally everywhere I go. I've heard it is relative to your location on google maps. I'm in Upstate NY.

Rattata are by farrrr the most common near me. I don't even snag them anymore.

 

I haven't caught anything with a CP level higher than like mid 500's yet. and only 2 or 3 evolved pokemon. What am I doing wrong :(.

 

Most likely it is your rank. I am level 17 now and am finally starting to see higher levels, for example I caught a 736 Electabuzz yesterday.

 

I'm level 8 and the highest thing I have is 338CP. Seems pretty pathetic.
