I really loved Sw/Sh mons. I've still been drafting some of them in draft leagues during this meta. The S/V mons are great though - especially the paradox mons.
I used more of the Sw/Sh pokemon in S/V, oddly enough. Copperajah & Coalossal especially. Sw/Sh was also the first game I played in awhile so everything felt fresh.
been getting my legs under me when it comes to sprite design/pixel art and animation. im gonna start doing one for each Community Day as a challenge. this is the key interaction of what ill be doing for Froakie!
These are great! What program did you use to make these? You've got a great handle on posing and character of the mons and it looks really good! Only thing I will say, if you'll allow me some unsolicited advice, is maybe remove a few of the animation frames - try and make it a bit snappier. When I think of frogs catching flies it's almost immediate, maybe a frame or two at most - the tongue is a bit slow at the moment (please do not quote that out of context). Altogether though awesome work!
oh god don't apologize i really appreciate it! as for the program, im using Aseprite for Windows - $20 for a one time license or you can compile it yourself for free via GitHub (dev supported). you're def on point with the frame-pacing. Aseprite lets me adjust the length per frame, so i am going to try and make the fly animation faster using a bunch of lil frames in quick succession. currently it's at exactly 50! final piece will be 296x296, currently wrestling w environmental stuff lol
Nice! Asesprite is awesome, been using it for sprite work for years now, such a good tool! Environment is a pain in the ass. Currently working on a sprite art project and backgrounds are my biggest woe Sure you'll smash it though! (Also made this in Asesprite a few years back - I know it's not pokemon-related, just showing it to show that I have half an idea what I'm talking about with regards to animation haha)
seems like results vary. my vibrate is less intense than my phone but more than i'd expect from a peripheral. ultimately it'll be in my pocket and not on a surface so i'm not too fussed. that said, the vibration is caused by an obnoxious counterweight that you can just pull out of it without touching a wire or soldering. what i DIDN'T bargain for was the Pikachu sounds greeting me as i set up at my desk in my full office lol. you can turn them off, but it was too late
