@VanMastaIteHab I gave you a perfect one on the chance you might want to breed it for a shiny, thanks for the trade
Aww thanks! I gave you the one that said “great stats” as opposed to “ok” or “good” which I had a few of lol. I never get that into breeding in these games though, it’s all gibberish to me.
Ok so how easy is it to get shinies in this game? I just started and the second Pokémon I encountered was a shiny. I’ve encountered one shiny in 20+ years of playing Pokémon not including Arceus or the red gyrados
It’s definitely easier. I’ve played every Gen, and I’ve only ever found two shinies (Let’s Go and Red Gyarados not included), and I’ve found two shinies on my Scarlet playthrough thus far. Shiny Cetitan is my favorite team member. The dude is a beast, looks awesome, and is an actually useable ice type.
It’s easier in this game but breeding a shiny is still a total nightmare. If you can just catch it, I suggest doing that instead.
The base odds are still the same but I think it seems higher since the encounter methods have changed and we now can see every spawn in the over world of them game, rather than walking in patches of grass and waiting for random encounters to occur. It’s also very easy to reset the spawns by just running around, so we are able to get a much higher volume of shiny checks in the same amount of time as previous games because we don’t have to go into battle now to see if it’s shiny or not.
Apparently there’s a glitch with tauros, if it’s fire or water form show up as an outbreak it’ll be regular tauros with a small chance of an occasional elemental form showing up here and there. I tried multiple ways to get them to respawn when I saw the outbreak, including making a sandwich but the game literally thinks all the tauros are the same, apparently. It was like 98% regular tauros, and that’s with a water sandwich. Fun.
took three days of obsessively updating one of those tera raid link code sharing sites but i finally managed my way into a 6 star ditto raid
There’s no way to carry a trick room stat for breeding, right? It’s all chance. I’m guessing breeding a shiny with a 0 speed stat is ridiculously rare.
The current team i’m building is all new ones i haven’t played with yet: skeledirge, kilowattrel, rabsca, dachsbun, clodsire, and orthworm
Clodsire was great on my play through, easy to get early, and is so annoying playing online if my physical attackers get knocked, dude is a wall
we need a quality of life update so if you’re hatching multiple eggs simultaneously they all hatch at the same time instead of one by one. give me a five way split screen idc
Clodsire is cool but will probably never get used in competitive. It’s got two decent stats and you just can’t do a whole lot with it, unfortunately.
