fucking hell, I've been reading page after page of these comments and I cannot WAIT for this game to have official release in the UK!!! My phone is shitty so I'm literally gonna upgrade just so I can play this game

 

I bought a portable phone charger on Prime Day because of this game.


Hatched a Charmander first thing so I should just quit for the day because I'm so incredibly happy right now.

 

I wish I liked Go as much as y'all lol

 

I just realized something.

My nephew came over today, and he's 8 years old. Perfect age to play Pokemon, and he already loved Pokemon before Go came out. He has a tablet that he downloaded Go onto, but he of course doesn't have a data plan because he's 8 and my sister is a reasonable parent. So he's stuck to playing from inside his house or inside friends houses. And he's only caught 2 Pokemon because of it. So that sucks, because I bet there's a lot of 8-10 year olds (or whatever) who can't really play it fully because it requires a data plan to get the full experience.

 

Yet another reason why they need to figure out the whole P2P component of this game.

Soon, fathers and mothers should be able to provide their children with pokemon caught in the wild simply by connecting with devices while and home and trading things back and fourth.

 

Is it better to power up your pokemon or evolve them first?

 

Evolve. You get way more CP when they evolve and sometimes new and more powerful moves.

Not to mention that you get more pokemon in your pokadex by evolving them to new levels.

 

Yeah. I've seen a few parents with younger kids walking around with their phones trying to play with their kids. But I'm sure it's not the same experience.

Someone left a cp29 Magikarp at the gym near my work lol. This game is so amusing.

 

Also I read today that if you click on one of the "nearby" Pokemon to track it and then stand still and rotate in a circle (spinning your character in a circle) the box in the bottom right with the nearby Pokemon will pulse green when you are facing the right direction.

Haha, I haven't been playing long at all, but my friend showed me the Transfer thing two days ago.
Also very useful information, haha.

Is there any reason to have multiple Pigeots or should I just transfer every Pidgey and upgrade my 1 Pidgeot?

I found an unclaimed gym like at 1am and when I went to grab it, dude on a park bench swooped in right before me.

Also, I went to a gym of my own team for the first time and ended up battling someone. I had no idea what to do because I thought I wouldn't end up battling and I'd leave a pokemon there. I still don't get how gyms work.

 

The Pokemon will eventually cap out based on what its initial CP was. So in theory you could find a really high CP Pidgey and evolve it and it would eventually be better than the Pidgeot you have now, even once that one is fully powered up.
