Finally have all 382 Pokémon you can catch or evolve in Pokémon violet. Now all I need are exclusives to scarlet. If anyone wants to trade exclusives and help me out I can literally trade any Pokémon available in Violet.

storm and speckledsouls are both correct. dragonite is not that cool.

dragonair is so cool and mystical and it just turns into something too round and too smiley for me to take it seriously as THE dragon and pseudo legendary of gen 1. it looks cool in the lighthouse episode of the anime though.

Dragonite doesn’t feel like a connected evolutionary line to me. To me it should have just bee Dratini -> Dragonair. Then Dragonite as a stand-alone mon.

butterfree has always looked like a venonat evo to me, but the theory loses me a bit when it gets into metapod turning into venomoth.

 

Yeah I'm torn on that. I think I still buy into the switch happening but it does feel a bit odd to look at Caterpie-Metapod-Butterfree-with-Venomoth's-aesthetic and fully make the connection. Granted it's a bit hard with Butterfree itself too haha

 

Never heard of this conspiracy, but I fully agree that Butterfree looks like it was originally the Venonat evo. Venomoth being in the Caterpie - Metapod line kinda loses me though.

 

You’re the one that implied pseudos look bad if they are designed a specific way, not me. I’m a fan of all the pseudos. I would just rank Dragonite at the top with Tyranitar.
