The exp boosters you get from raids make it pretty easy to level up a Pokémon you catch that’s lower than the rest of your team

Okay one actual complaint, they should the animation and text at the same time. Some of these battle animations take forever, especially if you’re boosting multiple steps. It’d make sense!

I’m sitting in my kitchen playing a new Pokémon game on the switch and sorting some new cards I pulled today while the anime plays on the living room tv lol. four months ago I had absolutely no interest in this franchise. then I moved back home and my two brothers have been all in with it especially my older brother so I got sucked back in and I fucking love it

 

pulled the pikachu trainer gallery today. that espeon alt art is worth almost 100. I also have a binder full of all my big hits (and little hits) but these two need top loaders and to be displayed on the shelf

 

im on a journey to get every trainer gallery card. missing only a handful at this point. havent pulled an alternate art in a while but the last one i pulled was the umbreon vmax one, so not a bad one to use up my luck on.

 

is that the 500+ dollar umbreon lol

 

lol yeah, easily my most goated pull. a friend of mine pulled 2 though, sent them to get graded and they both came back psa 10 -___-

 

Played Scarlet off and on all day, really having fun. I feel like the game started to perform a good amount more/better once I got away from the starting area and I restarted my game.

REALLY like the open world mechanics though.

I’m telling you it’s the open world 3D Pokémon game I imagined in my head at 14 after being exposed to those kinds of games lol

 

Dunsparce is goated especially in this game. I actually just added it as the 6th member of my team lol

 

mr mime is one of those weird ones where i had a VERY fun time battling with them in one generation (seven? i think?) and my attitude switched from ambivalent to deeply adoring the creepy little clown man. but i get why it isn’t a popular design lol

 

I definitely want to hit them! I like that as well. Just glad I can stop myself from being too over leveled. I actually struggled a bit with the 3rd gym because we were about the same level and I had no super effective moves.

 

These level 25 Pokémon are in the red and still popping out of ultra balls. Smh fam

 

My team is slowly turning into a Gen 2 roster. Oop

 

I also have an irrational hatred of dunsparce lol. Doesn't look good, don't know what it's supposed to be. Ugly.

I have similar feelings about Mawile. Don't like that design at all.

 

I’m still so surprised how well Game Freak did with making an open world map. So many variations in the landscape with enough to do so that it doesn’t feel empty.

I’m constantly getting side-tracked on the way to my destination due to the various items, trainers, Pokémon, and raids.

 

I caved last night and bought Violet with a gift card I had laying around. I haven’t played a pokemon game since crystal so i’ve just been vibing, walking around catching new pokemon. I’m getting whiplash from reading the pokemon subreddit just now lol

 

I always give myself the rule that I can only use the new gen Pokemon in my party when it's a new gen game but man Raltz and Azurill at the beginning is making it hard lol

 

This game in general just has so many good options. You no longer have to wait until you get to a particular route to find amazing old Pokémon

 

The battle raid system is still as bad as y-communication, it takes forever to load new ones and the ones they list get taken immediately. Maybe next nintendo gen lol
