I hate how predictable and lazy I am with picking my teams sometimes…I want to catch and use as many new Pokémon as possible but before I realize it I’m running with another Gyarados and Gardevoir. Give it enough time and I’m sure Lucario will join the crew. I think my next chunk of time will be working to replace them on my team.
right before swsh i saw someone say they always do a first play through of a new gen only using new mons and i’ve since adopted that approach. then i’ll do a million more run throughs with all my faves
Lol early on I barely had any new Pokémon in my party and thought it would stay that way but now I’m running 5/6 new Pokémon and the 6th is the regional tauros
That’s a good strategy and what I wanted to do, but then I was like, “I need a water Pokémon and this Magikarp is about to evolve.” At least for that one I know I’m going for Finizen, I just need to find one (I think they’ll be in the next city). Tinkatink may be the replacement for Gardevoir
I picked Fuecoco but I found a Larvesta a bit ago and I’m sure as hell going to run a Volcarona too lol
3 badges in, all my guys are like 31-32, except the high level glimmet I caught still being a little bit higher. spent so much time moving ahead to evolve Charcadet, took me a ton of time to get to that city and even longer to find Sinistea, but worth it. so far I have: Floragato Clodsire Ceruledge Tinkatuff Glimmet no idea who to get for my sixth guy anymore, Maushold was too weak and Espartha was just not the vibe. I’ll get the worm titan next and go from there.
I’ve been playing non-stop like all day, obsessed so far. I check the Pokémon Reddit and they want to burn Game Freak to the ground.
The people that hate this game and the other recent entries are the minority that just want someone to listen to their yelling.
While I think Game Freak and especially The Pokemon Company could and should do much, much better, I don't think they should be burned to the ground. All the did was make a messy, buggy game. Bethesda has been doing that for decades.
After a 5 hour detour, I got the third badge Punching air because I did a surprise trade and got a Lechonk named Scammed !!!! FUCKER
I really like that trainer battles are optional as well as wild Pokémon. I was a bit over leveled from catching and battling the first few hours. But was able to knock out the first 3 gyms in a row without doing anything in between and now I’m pretty much level with the game. I can also finally get my Appletun after beating the 3rd gym!
Picked up Scarlet because my son got Violet. Hope to boot this up tonight if I don’t pass out. The only shiny I’ve ever come across in the main games was a Druddigon in either gen 5 or 6. what is your least favorite Pokémon and why? Mine would have to be Dunsparce and I don’t even know why
Incentivizing trainer battles by giving you a reward for doing so many in an area is a super nice touch haha. I was like hell yeah no more mandatory trainer battles, yet I still hit every single one I see
I don’t dislike any but I’m not overtly familiar with as many post-Diamond as I am other gens although I’m getting there thanks to card collecting and Pokémon go but there’s still some blind spots. I guess based off the ones I know well, mr mime and jinx have always had my least favorite designs ever. so fucking horrible.
Well mine is delayed so I'll pick Pearl back up. Rolling with Jirachi, Luxray, Empoleon, Noctowl, Roserade, and Steelix
