the romanization looks to be Mimicu, so it could variably keep its name in english

 

Some things still confuse me about gyms. This is what I just did

1. went to a local gym with no one there and claimed it
2. went to another gym, fought with 3 or 4 of mine, a couple times each, gained XP and gym prestige
3. went back to the gym i owned with my Jolteon, fought with my Pinsier and beat both pokemon at the gym. My Pinsir did not take the top spot, but I think I got XP and prestige.
4. got my Jolteon back, must have been beaten, but no discernible changes.

Where can I see my gym prestige level? What does it do? Is there a point of fighting at my own gym? I have so many questions

 

Prestige goes to the gym that you're fighting at. The gym has a X number/Y Number that denotes its prestige. If the X meets the Y then it gains another level and can add another Pokemon. you do this by fighting a friendly gym and beating its members or by having the friendly gym beat challenging opponents.

 

Got it, so it's beneficial to add prestige to a gym with your own color/team, yes?

What is the personal endgame for gyms? Your team benefits from holding a gym, I guess, but personally you just get XP when you battle?

Third 5k egg ended up being a Gastly, which is cool since I didn't have one yet. Also found a Staryu, Bulbasaur, Pidgeot and a bunch of Spearow at the park.

 

My neighborhood has started seeing a lot of Drowzees and Clefairys the last two days. I wonder if Pokemon will rotate through areas.

 

Caved and downloaded today, lot of drowzees in downtown Chicago, but I got locked out once I got on the train.

 

I keep seeing an Onyx silhouette and never encountering

You also get rewards every day that you have a Pokemon in at least one gym (more if you have multiple Pokemon). Just go to the shop and click the shield icon in the upper right corner.

 

Ok yeah, I was about to say it might be my favourite Pokemon since gen 2 but now it definitely is.

Still haven't tried gyms out yet but I've leveled up some of my Pokemon. There are a couple within driving distance from my house so I may try tomorrow.

I went out riding my bike and there was a Bulbasaur that I couldn't find but I ended up hatching one from an egg so it worked out! I also have a 10km egg that's about half way done, hopefully I get something good out of it.

 

That gym article is extremely useful and makes me way more excited about gyms. My co-worker and I (same team) immediately walked to the nearest gym to try and take it over. Then the servers pooped out

 

Hatched another 10km egg today but I got an eevee...I can literally found an eevee on every street corner on campus. I was letdown :/ I wanted a freaking Aerodactyl.

 

I haven't even gotten a 10k egg yet.

 

Got it tonight. Went for a walk and got 6 weak ass pokemon. Only 1 pokestop close to my house. How often do pokemon show up when you're just sitting at home?

 

They cleared 1000 people at the Dragonite Park here last night. I didnt go but it's been crazy how many people have headed there over the last 3 nights.

 

I got an aerodactyl on my only 10K egg, I was stoked. That said, if it gave you an Eevee it likely also gave you a ton of candy so you can probably automatically evolve it to a Vaporeon, Flareon or Jolteon.

 

I'd love to get a Dragonite. Have seen a lot of different silhouettes that I haven't been able to find, Dratini being the most frustrating.

I have all the starters including Pikachu. My highest is a 1113CP Flareon, second highest being an 825 Electabuzz that I named Buzz Light. It's the only one of my Pokemon that is named. I find that makes it easier to go through your list and make your transfers and do your evolutions because you can order your Pokemon by name. I've caught 50 and seen 52 and am currently level 17, so that's kind of a bummer. Still yet to find a 10k egg which is an even bigger bummer. Love this game a ton.

 

Damn I forgot all about Aerodactyl. He is straight BADASS AS FUCK.

 

It pains me when I do my daily walk and I see Pokemon that I want but they are totally a different way then I'm going.

I saw a Pikachu and a Squirtle but they were the completely opposite away I was going.

 

Is there a way to know which way they are?
