yeah after watching footage from that demo i'm just skipping this gen.

 

The demo looks great. What don’t you like about it?

 

All of this is fantastic, I'm in. I can imagine there will be things I don't like but right now it feels like the things I do like outweigh that.

 

i didn't really care for arceus, despite slogging through and finishing it, and this just seems like they took arceus and tried to make it a standard mainline game. also i don't care for the designs for any of those new pokemon. i hope everyone has fun with it but it's just not for me. i'll play black2 again

 

I haven’t enjoyed most new designs since S/M aside from Arceus. I felt the new designs in that game (Wydeer) were great.
I mostly just play to explore new regions which is why I’m very excited for this.

 

i hope the open world is better than the one in arceus. arceus just felt very barren and empty.

 

Arceus was one of the most boring looking Pokémon games they’ve released. These games look much better

 

Most of the preview writeups said the overworld had a lot more pokemon walking around than the what the trailers so far have shown. And they were even playing an older build.

 

i learned my lesson with sword and shield not to trust that "older build" excuse.

 

I think you’re jumping the gun on skipping this gen based on a demo preview tho. Wait til actual reviews start rolling out and then see if you feel the same way. You probably will but it’s still best to hold off judgement until the game ships imo.

 

yeah i mean i'll check out gameplay videos and stuff before fully making my decision, but the demo and the last 5 or so years of gamefreak have kinda made up my mind on it.

Was tough between Hoenn and Johto. Can't include Alola because I never played that gen

 

Johto and Kanto flip back and forth depending on the week. Johto is great but very small. Kanto feels very comfy and dense but it’s mostly just routes and towns without many places to explore

 

I like Kalos. I wish the games were a bit more interesting.

I’m loving the brilliant diamond remake. I truly don’t remember playing diamond and pearl on release but if I did I definitely didn’t beat it.

 

I like the remake for what it is - a straight copy of the original with better graphics.

Most remakes have sort of been a reimagining. BDSP takes “remake” literally.

 

Mega evos are the only good gimmick. They should do more

Hell, go full mega-mega evos. I want to see a fifth stage charizard. hit me. let's be digimon

it'd probably look like gigantamax

 

I lost my DS and original copy of Sapphire when I moved last year. I so desperately wish I'll find it someday sitting at the bottom of some box.
