Can anyone tell me why koraidon has wheels but proceeds to use its arms and legs instead? I'm glad they included my favourite stone age invention, tires, but why doesn't it use them Jokes aside genuinely excited for these, they look like what I've wanted out of pokemon games for ages and also have the least worst gimmick of the last three generations (bring back mega evos though )
I believe that ruleset it starting after Worlds, they are going to be using series 12 which is 2 restricteds per team.
I like the new pokemon designs, Cetitan looks great. Interested to see how open the open world is, I really just want the catching mechanics from Arceus. Sounds like the school is a similar hubworld that you return to each time you go out to a different area. The crystal gimmick looks ok, less game breaking than usual and being able to change types could keep things fresh and surprising in battle at least without being able to change anything to any type.
Its so weird that the box legendaries are your companions like the whole game it looks like? You might have to unlock different modes or meet them mid way through, but its an interesting path to take. Should definitely help you feel more connected to the legendary of the region but also makes them seem a little more boring. Guessing there's a bigger crystal based legendary for the end game, hoping that design is solid. And really hoping for some ice type buffs, bug buffs, and fairy nerfs.
Lots of stuff seems cool about this. Having 3 main quests and only one of them being the gym leaders seems like it could be really cool. Hope its as open ended as I think it is.
it's modern pokemon so i'm sure it'll end up being disappointing in the end but i'm still cautiously optimistic.
i like the focus on freedom and the co-op stuff seems like a cool idea that i hope has some depth to it. a little underwhelmed by the terastal stuff, as a battle mechanic it definitely seems more interesting than gmax but visually i dont really care for it.
I'm concerned with the new gym system. Are the gyms gonna balance out to around my teams power level, or am I just choosing to waltz into a gym just to get stomped and end up having to go a linear route anyway?
I could be wrong but I think the levels at each gym are predetermined and unchanging. So, it will pretty much be linear. However, if you happen to overlevel or want an additional challenge you can choose to tackle the gyms in any order. Kind of dumb imo, but I'll have to see how it plays out in actual game.
