As of now I am Team Violet until the exclusives are announced.

 

Both seem pretty ugly to me, waiting to see if this is more like Sword/Shield or Legends before getting excited

 

I agree that both legendaries don’t look quite that good. One looks like it has a tire through its chest and the other has rockets for feet. Take those away and the designs would be better.

The Japanese names of the legendaries also translate to ‘Ancientdon’ and ‘Futuredon’. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same legendary in different time periods

 

Scarlet legendary kinda looks like what Sceptile would be as a fire type

 

It could also be a Mew/Mewtwo situation, like the Violet legendary was an attempt by current scientists to recreate the Scarlet legendary. So like in Scarlet, that mon is still out there whereas in Violet it's gone so they recreated it.

 

Best legendaries since ruby/sapphire imo

 

I really like the Sun/Moon legendaries. I also love Zacian. But these ones are really cool and unique, definitely better than the Black/White and X/Y legendaries.

 

I didn’t like the swsh legendaries at all at first but really started liking them over time, especially the shinies.

 

Zamazenta is kinda boring to me but Zacian was the best.

Feels like, for the last few gens, the first pokemon released are designed to go viral

 

Yeah the footage is a little rough, the original trailer looked great so they probably just haven't put the finishing touches on it.

 

I think this footage looked better than the original reveal footage personally

 

Oh yeah that's totally fair, there were definitely a few scenes that were rough in the original but some of the pokemon textures looked great, the Seviper shot was one that stood out. Just definitely can tell still a little rough and still needs to be cleaned up with the gameplay footage in the one from today.

 

I'm in but this will be my first new gen Pokemon since Platinum haha

 

At this point Scarlet is pushing my buttons way more than Violet. Thought I might skip this gen, or at least arrive late, but now...

 

Yeah I'm leaning toward Scarlet as well, but I'll definitely wait until we get more info.
