played for ten minutes this morning and got shiny Ambipom and Rhydon. Up to around sixty now.

I think I've had six total run from me. Combee, 2 Abra, Kriketune, Pichu, Clefairy

Forunately, I already have all of those in Pokemon Home.

I have the shiny charm, which is definitely helping. I'm also just breezing by everything with Wyrdeer/Braviery with the volume on high. If I hear the jingle, I usually get out of range to make sure I actually heard it and then look around. Outbreaks have been pretty consistent too.

I think I've only 100%'d a few mons to def get shinies. Did it with Shellos, then got two of them pretty quick.

 

Just getting research level 10 is enough to boost odds fwiw. You don’t get an extra boost for 100%.

 

my wishlist right now is cherrim, paras, qwilfish, rotom, petilil, growlithe, chatot, basculin, voltorb

I think I've given up on water pokemon. I feel like I just waste 100 balls every time.

 

I have about 50 left to catch, and yeah, most of them are water types.

 

Water types aren’t too bad once you get used to catching them, I think I mostly battled them so I didn’t waste pokeballs.

Really glad I caught the Overquil in the lake trio sidequest, one less annoying evolution to go through.

 

The toughest thing for me is how quick most of them are to run. If I see a shiny, I can be assured they are running lol

 

You just can’t hide in the water unless you have a ton smokescreens, it’s definitely worse compared to how perfect the catching mechanics are otherwise.

 

They’re not perfect, they definitely could be better.

Also, it’s great to finally get a purple-themed Pokemon game, although, Scarlett will be tempting.
