Picked up Pokemon Shield from where i left off after i sat it down and forgot about it last year. Just got both the Dark and Dragon badges tonight. Now onto the Champions Cup and the endgame stuff and I can cross this game off my list. I went straight from Dark to Dragon with no prep and just barely beat Raihan, so i gotta grind like hell before I'm ready for Wyndon.

After i'm done with Shield, Snap, and a couple other Switch games i need to finish then i'll think about getting Legends.

 

so in Arceus, I've completed all of the 85 side quests (so far) minus the Cherrim one and the one where you have to collect all 107 wisps

I cant fucking find a Cherrim for the life of me

 

I watched a youtube video on how to find them. The Highlands has the most trees they can spawn in and then its just resetting and checking them, took me like five rounds but finally got one. Definitely one of the hardest guys to find because things spawn in trees and they can't appear in every tree.

 

Just fyi there apparently was a glitch with the Cherrim quest that was fixed with the most recent update so make sure your game is updated.

 

I got like three cherrim in two minutes yesterday after seeing none the entire time I’ve played previously

 

Damn they fixed Cherrim spawn rates? I thought they were just fixing the catch bug where if it changed form it was literally uncatchable

 

I really hope there is actually dlc for this game

 

There's going to be, its doing well and it was likely planned before that like Sword/Shield.

Interesting to see what they do, probably just a few extra areas and a different boss fight with a new legendary.

 

It definitely seems like there will be. The official strategy guide doesn't come out until April. And some found a whole unused (and incomplete) area in the game and was able to force the game to let them access it.

 

The isle of armor was eh, hopefully it’s more like crown tundra

 

Currently almost done with everything in main game of Pokemon Shield. Just beat Leon yesterday, now on the post-game stuff and am currently almost done taking out the Dynamax pokemon at the gyms.

I would say my main criticism of this game is getting through all this unnecessary dialogue is a huge chore.

UPDATE:
Got through everything in the main game. Doing Isle of Armor now. Wow this DLC takes the dialogue issue to another level. Just one long tedious cutscene where I have to click through tons of boring text boxes after another, it takes forever before they even let you freeroam. I don't mind some story and narrative in a mainline Pokemon game, but this is just way too much detail.

Also i kind of fucking hate Hop.

 

In terms of the Pokemon RPGs yeah I think that's the pattern they'll follow, but with the other spinoff titles sprinkled it. Rumors are next up after Legends is Pokken Tournament 2.

I hope they keep up having the remake/Let's Go game they do be set in the same region as the preceding Legends game.

Currently halfway through Isle of Armor. This leveling up Kubfu from level 10 when every Pokemon on the island is set to level 60, and then having him battle 5 trainers in a row alone who are all between levels 65-75 is the most frustrating dumb shit I've had to do in this game so far. I've never wanted to put this game down and just be done with it more. As soon as i'm not required to use Kubfu/Urshifu i'm going to box it and never use it again.

 

I traded them for shinies lol

Basically their version of Korok seeds that are in Breath of the Wild lol

 

It’s dumb but they’re pretty easy tho, you can do that in less than an hour

 

In fairness, it's easier than in the remakes and Pokemon go.

 

I feel like I've been getting most of the shinies I've been going for. Having crazy good luck with breakouts.

 

I finally got shiny turtwig today and I didn’t even see it lol it was hiding in a bush.
