So it took me like 20ish resets to get shiny piplup, which is like so many hours lol I saw that philly had 30 something resets and still nothing, sheeeesh

 

The Avalugg Noble battle is so frustrating

 

Would really like them to fix auto-aim so I’m not throwing shit at the nobles feet as they’re getting ready to eat you lol

 

When you unlock Sneasler, it's awesome, but it also begs the question of why make us wait so long? Being able to climb the terrain is what makes exploration games fun from the beginning - it's all I did in BOTW. Just a really minor gripe, the game has grown on me with time.

 

I don't think there's a ton in the early levels that you need sneasler for, it just makes going back feel easier and unlocks a few areas, like the early island you need the fish for.

 

Got a shiny Kleavor and now I can die happy.

 

Is it alpha tho?

 

I think electrode was the second easiest noble imo, surprised this wasn’t an earlier boss battle

 

I'm at the point where I don't care. It just goes into Home when I can transfer it. Stats don't matter to me.

 

Apparently there’s a way to reset for alpha shinies, if they’re in a place and not outside

 

Alright, I broke and bought Arceus. I played 15 hours of the game and wasn't exactly in love. Felt like a chore. But then one night on a whim I decided to try playing after taking some Delta-8 gummies... And let me tell you, while sober me is lukewarm on this game, high me thinks this is already a GOTY contender. I started my save file over and have only allowed myself to play on this file while high and I've been loving it.

 

Finally got braviary and let me tell you, that was not the game changer I thought it would be lol

After seeing all the clips of people getting shinies it made me think that was not just as incredibly rare as it normally is

 

I beat the main story and the extra boss, I’m like 15 away from completing the dex, just need all the genies and some evolutions

 

I beat the main story the other night and got all of the plates except for the Lakes. I’ve been having an absolute blast with this game. I’ve yet to get any shiny Pokémon, but I’m going to do the hunt for those soonish.

 

I've gotten a bunch of shiny Staraptor and Staravia lol

 

Finally got my first two outbreak shinies today with Duskull and Turtwig. Turtwig came on my first encounter of the outbreak.

 

Why are some mon totally different sizes in some levels? The starly in cobalt are massive compared to the starly in obsidian fields, is it like a geographical thing or based on actual scientific logic?

 

Congrats, couldn’t have asked for two that good to start. My first two were a male combee and stantler lol

Did you figure out you were doing something wrong or was it just bad luck?

 

I didn’t even know Turtwig was in the game. I haven’t come across one yet.

 

They only spawn in one section on the southwest end of the Mirelands. There is an Alpha Torterra dead middle, south Mirelands.

 

I think it was just luck. I didn’t change how I did anything.

For awhile I caught them all, saved and then would come back and see if the last four would be shiny or not and that somehow worked a decent amount. I was doing it wrong but still, idk, it worked.

 

In addition to what Henry said, Chimchar spawns on Ramanas island in the Obsidian Fieldlands, and Piplup. is between Spring Path and Islepsy Shore in the Cobalt Coastlands.
