Yeah the process of fighting it is actually super conducive to the Timer Ball because you really just have to inflict some status ailments and then manage its health meter properly. It uses a move that lets it heal itself every turn, so you’re constantly trying to keep it in the red without killing it. So the battle can drag on for a few turns naturally.
Wait, do these not write to the cartridge? I just assumed on a physical game the save data would be the only thing stored on the system
I don’t know about buying second hand. Sometimes target has drops in the mornings some days (saturdays or sundays? I’m not sure. I know my friend gets wrestling figures early some days this way). Depending on game stores and malls, sometimes local game and comic shops have packs but I find they’re overpriced there. Unfortunately scalpers have made this harder than it should be.
The elite trainer boxes sound like the best thing for you. Unfortunately they are so hard to find at retail price. Could probably find one for 70 bucks at the cheapest on ebay/mercari. Just gotta make sure the sellers have good ratings so you know they aren't scammers
I was looking on Amazon, Walmart, and Target. So I have to go to a store and hope they have them? I guess that makes sense that I wasn’t really seeing anything then that wasn’t some other seller. This is way tougher than buying sports cards haha.
Check Gamestop and Pokemoncenter.com a lot too. I'm sure they'll be restocking for the holiday season
@Michael Schmidt Gamestop has these 2 available at the moment https://www.gamestop.com/toys-games...-evolving-skies-elite-trainer-box/299392.html https://www.gamestop.com/toys-games...-chilling-reign-elite-trainer-box/277025.html
Sword and Shield is the current series at the moment. Evolving Skies is just the name of that particular set. Think of it as a new/different season for a television show. What do you mean by regular cards?
Would anyone who has a Milotic mind trading it to me? I’ll trade it back. I just need it for the dex. I don’t want to do the beauty stuff with feebas.
I took the different names of decks to mean that it was the same universe, but a different part of it. Like, different characters. By regular Pokémon cards I just meant like the original characters and the layout of those cards.
Ah, got it. Some sets have new versions of the originals but yeah it's all about the full art cards now when it comes to the rare ones haha
Got it. So if I buy one of the boxes you linked, rarity and things like that aside, will there be characters like Mewtwo and stuff, or more newer characters?
Some of the original 151 yeah. Mostly newer Pokemon. Look up the sets, should be lists of every Pokemon in each set somewhere
@Michael Schmidt also try the pokemon center website, they usually have stuff Most sets you can find have a mix but some of them have more than others Some suggestions to look for: The trainer beginner set, I forget the exact name but it’s a big box for people just starting to play Look up first partner packs, they have jumbo cards of every starter plus two packs. Just make sure you get the jumbo binder for the jumbo cards. Vivid voltage The newest set, fusion strike (the shiny mew is the rarest card in the set) Anything celebrations Evolving skies Most sun and moon sets, some can be kind of pricey but cosmic eclipse has a ton of cards if you can find it Try your local dollar stores, they have packs that are even out of print sometimes The Costco eevee tin, it has exclusive eeveelution promos plus a few packs and is available at most stores
Wait, using picharisu pickup is the only way to get more than two shiny stones in diamond and pearl? That’s absurd. Welp. How are you supposed to get all the evolutions? They make it impossible lol
I'm just getting any shinies that I can in Home. Doing it via trade or whatever. I scour the GTS looking for anything to fill my shiny dex. I'm more than halfway through the entire dex. Grinding out 500 battles in SwSh sucks.
