I have no idea what happened but my meter thing turned rainbow and filled up all the way and I got like five shiny statues in a row lol I had doubles of one but still wild, not sure how to get that again haha

Look at the map on the top left, when you see the orange circles that’s where you dig. Click the r button near where the orange circles are and the wall where you need to dig should glitter, just press a there and then you can dig. Right after you’ve do that, press y and go back to the old man and do what he asks until he gives you a base to put your statues in.

Are the remakes worth it? I have never played the originals and I’m wanting to pick one up, but I don’t know just yet.

Yo you can get some awesome Pokémon in the underground early. Feels good to have an Absol and Murkrow on my team from the jump.

 

This makes it sound like you can. I haven’t gotten far enough to try it though. Around the 5 minute mark.

 

How do you get the digger drill to make a base?

 

You have the explorer kit, right? Did you do all the tasks the old man asked? Once you do that he tells you about it and you get a free one. After that, you can get more through a bearded hiking dude in the tunnel.
