Yeah and also I don't get why people are mad about remakes looking this way. It's not like they debuted Gen 9 with that style. To be clear, it's not what I was expecting them to look like either. But I'm definitely ok with it.
Gen IV was where I fell out with Pokemon for a while. Still between that and Gen V for my least favorites but I used to hate the dex in IV too but it has some of my favorites now. Excited to play them again though. Haven't played them in forever
So basically, the remakes are almost solely for new fans more than anything. If you’re more of a long-tenured fan then legends is much more of the game you want to play.
I mean if that's what your game taste has developed into. I'm personally still more excited for the remakes.
Huh? I’m just saying which audience they’re likely intended to be for in my opinion. I didn’t even mention how I feel about it. You don’t have to argue about everything y’all
It's directed as the concept you are talking about, not you personally. If someone has moved into more of an open world and even side missions, it's probably your taste at this time. I don't see how that's any even anything other than an normal conversation.
I mean... Pokemon is a children's game. I think it's obvious that Legends is the game aimed at an older audience.
I'm kinda surprised that the Pearl/Diamond remakes didn't have the same effort put into it as Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire but that was a Game Freak thing and they're busy with an actual new game so this is acceptable. I played Pearl too many times as a teenager.
Platinum was what brought me back to Pokémon. The cool thing is seeing my son go back and play the games I played and we can play them together in a modern way
Apparently you’re gonna be able to climb mountains in legends, as well as riding Pokémon again. Also, there are health meters for some pokemon that I’m guessing are similar to when there’s boss you have to beat in a video game? Wild stuff
Same, leaf green was the last game I played before ORAS/XY. I’ve never seen layer Gen 4/5 apart from starting Black 2 on an emulator, which I haven’t finished. I’m definitely looking forward to playing for the first time.
lmao same except Fire Red for me. I played part of someone's copy of Pearl but Gen V I played for the first time via emulator just recently.
I never played any remake before, I was completely out after ruby/sapphire and then somehow had pearl even though I hadn’t even thought of Pokémon again at all before that. Then I was on my way back from playing basketball and passed a GameStop, it was apparently release day for black and white and I just felt like I had to get it. I would love to play the first three if they ever port them, it sucks they haven’t.
