Because it’s smaller and more condensed, plus Bandai Namco. I think all three look good for their intended purposes
Wow, was expecting the D/P remakes to just use the sword and shield engine or something. That’s cool that they’re preserving the top down and using a new art style.
Yeah, I wasn’t saying I dislike the older style version but I’m more surprised that they didn’t try to make all the new games look as good
Except it looks like a ton of other open world games and actually looks much MUCH closer to Ghost of Tsushima? I get that people love BOTW and want the sequel so badly, but EVERYTHING gets compared to it nowadays for no reason as if it was the origin of all open world games.
The more I look at it and consider the rumors from the last few months, it seems like they were working on a dlc that looked similar and just started to improve on it until deciding to move on from the game series for this new thing.
I’m kind of worried that style of remake game will still feel like a slog because they’re using more of a let’s go engine, curious what else they add to help make that less so.
Considering how limited they are now, I’m surprised they’re even doing two other games that big. Hoping they at least consider it for the next mainline series but it would fit way better in a newer version of legends so it’ll be awhile.
My hope is that if Legends Arceus does well then we get legends games for other gens (Legends Mew for Gen 1, Legends Celebi for Gen 2)
That’s fine. I’m not a big fan of Arceus or his design but I like the Sinnoh region and if there is a possibility we will be able to explore other regions in that same open world breath of the wild style in future games then that’s nothing but good news.
I’ve been pretty clear it’s nowhere near my top 3 but go off Crazy how it’s possible to dislike a game and not shove it down everyone’s throats to the point of exhaustion
The complaints about the Diamond/Pearl remakes are so damn funny to me. Like what did you think the original games would have looked like if they were in 3D? Your character literally gets shrunk to chibi size in every game up to X/Y. They’re being super faithful to the original games here, that’s a good thing!
It just looks like a cheap mobile game art style for all the character models. The Let's Go games looked much better.
