i mean you don't like most anything from the last 4 gens by your own admission which feels like nostalgia blinders cranked to 11 to me so we are just on different sides here haha
Yeah I'm 50/50 on the UB designs but I think the concept of UBs is great and is a better addition to Pokemon than a lot of the things that the game has pretty much just used to advertise gen 1 Pokemon again and again
Pokemon is at its best when its at its weirdest. i dont want grimdark gritty Pokemon i just want it to keep getting weird like UBs. i want a gen to timejump into the future or some shit
I think I said in this thread that I was gonna wait and see on my opinion on dynamax as a concept (not as a design cuz it's just bad as a design) and not to jump the gun and now that we've had it for a decent amount of time...yeah I don't think I like dynamax at all haha.
I think if it was introduced at gen 6 instead of megas I'd like it, but I don't like it because they got rid of megas for it lol. If that makes sense
I agree with that, I'm still not sure if I like it in general without that context but I DEFINITELY don't like it replacing megas that's for sure
My fave thing from season 2 was getting everyone to respect Indeedee. Still can't believe people rated it 1/5 lol
You could argue that the only ones that have really benefited from it so far are Lapras and Charizard.
I just really don't like that it breaks choice locking. Idk why that irks me so much but it does. I think I like it more in a doubles format where 2 Pokemon can hit 1 dmaxer or w/e but in a 1v1 scenario it just feels like an "oh shit" button that wasn't really needed. I feel like if it didn't break outta choice locks (or if you couldn't dmax choice mons) and only multiplied your HP by 1.5x at max dynamax level instead of 2x I'd like it more. But idk I'd have to think about it more.
There’s only like 15 gmax? Out of like hundreds of Pokémon. I can’t think of any gmax I strongly dislike, other than coalossal.
I'm almost mentioned it lol. It's basically gets the same buff as Charizards. It'll be interesting to see if Venusaur and Blastoise see theirs get usage. I think Venusaur probably wants to be able to set grassy terrain. Maybe blastoise could, I could see people not wanting to set rain depending what kind of team you're using.
That’s actually a really good point, most of the good Pokémon have good gmaxes and the ones that need it aren’t bad Pokémon by any means.
Impeccable timing hahaha Yeah I think gmax Coalossal is pretty good in a doubles setting Hatterene's and Gengar's are pretty good too. Grimmsnarl's is really bad (what a coincidence)
