My 8 year old daughter can't even play through the games because of all of the reading. This is crazy to me. That girl's awesome.
Pokémon is one of the most accessible games to people. Watching that made me tear up lol I was born the year Pokémon came out so this game influenced my entire childhood since 1993. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to have a kid since then that is as into it as you
I look forward to one day passing down my Pokémon collection to my children/grandchildren through Pokémon Home.
that post did make me think though. theres a lot of people who make posts on reddit like "my father passed away so i raced the ghost of his high score in Gran Turismo" or "my grandpas Skyrim save". def gonna be a lot of "my dad died here's his shiny Weedle he traded me" posts in 30 years.
I'll gladly give my kids all my Pokemon through Home once they learn to quit using parties of 6 fucking Onixes
Giving your pokemon to your kids will make them soft They need to learn to catch their own just like we did
Oh I won’t do it until they at least beat the game on their own. It will be like a reward. Like a post game “here’s all of daddy’s old legendaries that probably aren’t even obtainable or use-able anymore but hey you sure can look at them and appreciate all the years I spent building that collection”.
I started playing because my daughter got Fire Red when she was 5 and had trouble with all the reading in game. I helped grind her team up and got hooked. She'll be 20 this year. I play more than she does now.
I keep getting charmanders on wonder trade, putting them back into wonder trade, and getting more charmanders. When will the cycle end
So after buying Sword, I bought Let's Go Pikachu and wow, the nostalgia!! Riding on a Charizard/Rapidash and having Pokemon follow you is a simple thing I did not know I needed.
been bringing my DS into work and running through friend safaris. Managed a shiny Whirlipede and Larvesta today. Pumped to move those over.
