So I still haven't gotten Home. If I don't have a ton of Pokemon I want to transfer in, is it still worth it?

 

My thing is just having all of my mons in one place. They've been scattershot across ten cartridges for about ten years. This gives me a chance to handle them all in one place. If you don't have that issue, there isn't a lot to it.

I'm cycling through legendaries on the GTS and getting stupid good trades. Traded a Krikitot for a Mewtwo. Traded a Armaldo for Entei. Traded Anorith for Lugia. lol

 

I got a Blacephalon and a shiny Regigas today from the wonder box. And then I got my hopes over a master ball that had an Alolan Vulpix in it lol

 

First wonder box I did, I got a shinx in one lol

 

Holy shit, did not see AOC own that alt lite asshole mystic7. This really happened, wow.

 

i havent gotten anything of note from Wonder Box at all. got a 6 IV Zacian and 6 IV Necrozma for shitty PoGo Mewtwos tho.

 

yeah, even prior to this maintenance, its strictly a visual glitch. i got multiple Pokemon that have displayed "Best" in home for all IVs but show up as hyper trained in Sword.

 

maxed out my shiny Obstagoon to build after the guts wallbreaker set on Smogon only to learn one of the core moves is egg only, rip

 

I got lucky and someone had sent me a breedject with Knock Off already bred on and I used that to breed my shiny

the shiny raids have been the best. im going for a complete living galar shiny dex. im at about 100 and ive gotten them all in the last two weeks. ill only have to breed for babies, a couple stray prevos that dont have raid dens, and idek if i can bring myself to SR for fossils.

 

I made a list of SwSh shinies I'm willing to bother with breeding/getting. I appreciate the rarity and all but I pretty much only seek out ones I actually like haha.

It makes it all the more frustrating when I see one I don't care for

 

What are you doing to have that luck? I have only seen one so far.

Been having a ton of good luck finding shiny legendaries on the GTS.

Gotten Registeel, Stakataka, Rayquaza, and Virizion just today.

 

no luck required. i'll make this as concise as possible but bare with me:

every beam from a raid den carries a specific numeric value with it that is represented in the data of the Pokemon caught from it. there are folks who have tools to read these values, and a couple of those people offer to check them for free. so you save in front of a beam, catch the Pokemon, then trade it to one of the bots/people that can read the "seed" value. with that data, they are able to determine which next value from that particular beam in that particular den will be shiny. i dont get how, but they can. that data tells you exactly how many times you have to do the date change reroll trick to get a shiny to appear in the den. after you get to that date/"frame", every third reroll will also be shiny up until the point you either

- fuck up and lose count
- or catch the shiny

so a ton of steamers (most annoying way to do it) and a bunch of discord hosts (best way to do it) will just do all the work and then just host the raids for everyone else. some will softlock on one specific Pokemon and just soft reset over and over so as many people as possible get a chance, and some will do the three day skip trick and just keep rolling through whatever comes up.

the general process for that is:
- add the host
- keep an eye on chat/stream to see when they put a new raid up and post the code or state it's free for all
- mash the X button on the Y Comm like your life depends on it
- keep trying to be fast enough to be one of the three that make it in

they're all totally legal and have their own unique id even if you catch multiple of the same mon

 

I've seen that, just seems really annoying to have to do but if you want a shiny badly then go for it

 

i recommend three discord servers

- the one the Sword and Shield subreddit made. it's down because of discord issues rn so i cant link to it, but you can find a link at /r/PokemonSwordandShield. its easily the busiest, which is a double edged sword because there are usually a ton of hosts doing different raids but also a ton of people trying to get in

it's kind of a pain depending on how active the channels are, but last night i got:

- Skwovet x 2
- Goodra x 2
- Vibrava
- Flygon
- Meowstic
- Palpitoad
- Gmax Sandaconda

in about an hour and a half

ill take that over three hours of breeding with nothing to show for it haha
