what’s the best way to get a 6iv ditto? or at least some 4-5iv ones

 

i hate how much time ive spent these last few days not playing this.

 

Idek what IV means

each pokemon has a hidden modifier (called IV) in every stat from 0-31. it affects how high the stat can go

for example
pkmn1 eevee lvl30 attack iv 15
pkmn2 eevee lvl30 attack iv 31

if you would go to their stats screen, pkmn2 will have a higher attack value, actually the highest attack value (if we’re only looking at IVs) possible since 31 is the max. so each stat has this. there are ways to check it in game but before post game you can also use an IV calculator.

single player experience dont usually care about this, but in competitive it’s extremely important. although there are 2 other factors that manipulate stats - EV and natures.

 

I still haven’t booted this up. I’m supposed to get out of work early tomorrow and if I do I guess I’ll finally put some time in.

Got my dex up to 335. If anyone wants Grookey for other starters, I bred out 13 of them. Can trade tomorrow. I'll work out getting exclusives and stuff too.

 

lmao i was running around wyndon and this pokemon shouts “Ziggy!” at me and i spent a full minute trying to figure out how the game found out my nickname.

then i realized i was staring at a zigzagoon

My nephew decided to get into EV training again for the first time since X/Y and when I reminded him that he has to breed to get the right IVs he responded with “Oh yeah I forgot it is hell”

 

gotcha, could also breed actual pairs in the meantime i guess

anyone tried to get good IVs on their Eternatus?

i might try for a few hours

 

the title screen after finishing the game is soo dope

 

Can’t you just use bottle caps now?

 

Wait what? I haven’t looked into how it works in this game, I’m waiting for Home I think

 

bottle caps would require the pokemon to be level 100 so there is still some work there (also those IVs can't be passed down the children)

 

I've also only come across one so far and I've done a fair few raids

They're definitely the most useful for G-Max Pokémon

gonna start breeding Scorbunny tonight for those in need. would also love to temporarily swap for the shield doggo to get the dex entry.
