I ended up just catching Drakloak instead of dreepy since they have a higher spawn rate and appear in the over world. Conveniently, you can also catch ditto in the same area for breeding. Took him from level 2 to 55 in about 30 minutes with these raid battles/candies lol. This game is great

I’m late on this but why the fuck did the cut GTS? WHY?!? I was going to go for completing the Pokedex now that it is small, but no GTS is a big hurdle.

Is that really a thing that a GTS-like feature will be in Home? Because yeah I guess that’s a little shady but I would still be happy about it.

 

It's speculated, I hope it's in Home (and hope Home doesn't add an additional sub to what's already being spent on online)

Home isn’t up yet though right? My nephew says he saw Pokemon online that people shouldn’t be having without transferring though (he’s in the post-game). Is he trolling or did people hack the game?

 

I don't think it is, I saw on the Pokemon subreddit (the place sucks btw don't go there) someone posted that they had an Omastar in the game (either hacked in or maybe the game was just ripped and they added it to a rom idk how this stuff works)

 

I'm ready for actual tiers to be established and see what the metagame becomes, right now it's insane. There are so many ways to set up and tear down setups now. It's funny looking back at like the hidden ability for Rillaboom to set up Grassy Terrain and now seeing how many different DMax attacks can set up terrains and manipulate stats etc etc and wondering how much that HA would even matter. I'm excited to see how actual competitors use these new mechanics.

 

The only thing I’ve seen are leople are modding SwSh and using models from the Let’s Go games. Which Pokémon did he see?

GTS was a system in previous games which allowed you to basically put out a trade request for specific Pokemon to the whole world

 

Oh, I actually did see someone use models of Lunala and Solgaleo. Those mons are actually in the code though and could potentially be mystery gifts or be in DLC.

 

Yeah, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Mewtwo, Mew, Lunala, Solgaleo, Meltan, Melmetal are all in the games code. There might be a few others, but those are the ones I remember seeing.

 

Did anyone find a good Gen 8 pure water type Pokemon yet? I need/want one
