damnnn. so shiny hunting in this is same as the past i take it? any tips or guides on that front anywhere?

 

shiny rates are based on two things:
1) the number of that species you've beat (up to 500)
2) the number you've beat in a row (up to 25)

I don't know if shiny fishing is a thing in this.

 

Ive played for like 7-8 hours now and still havent gotten the first badge yet. Just taking my time exploring, catching, customizing. Game is so good.

 

THERE'S A FUCKING DARK TYPE GYM IN SPIKEMUTH

 

The Team Yell section is way too much like the Skull mansion section for me.

 

just got the sixth badge and was p triggered when their Coalossal could Gigantimax. i got mine from a trade and have been running it all game and it can only Dynamax. do i need to obtain one from a Max Raid for it do be able to Giga?

 

the last gym is the most thoughtful thing they've done with this game in YEARS

Just got the first badge, which is good because my Pokémon are already nearly level 25 because I fucked around the wild for too long.

How do you assign what uniform you wear? I bought a cool one but still come out in my basic one

I think you can just wear them as your normal clothes. I haven’t figured out how to wear them in battle.

 

Go to any clothing store and go into the changing room. Uniforms is the far right option there.

Maybe the best nickname I've given a Pokémon in 20 years of playing.

 

So I'm finally up to the 4th gym and damn, the game got hard. The first 3 badges are a breeze. The route heading to the 4th gym is really tough, trying to level up my sneasel as best as possible.

 

So apparently raid Pokémon can come out of pokeballs? Tried to get a second centiskorch and Welp. Finally up to 3 star raids though so that's cool, however metapod being in them is very much not cool.

 

lol geez. this story goes HARD on millenials fixing boomer problems out of nowhere.

 

Feels like finding a Vulpix, fire stone, and then having Ninetales remember fire blast, flamethrower and a bunch of other moves so early on shouldn’t be possible, but hey

 

I knew some shit like that was gonna happen when the chairman started talking about solar energy technology lol
