I'm looking at all the new Pokémon in this game & wow, they're all super cool! They really did super well with the new designs this gen. Galarian forms & evolutions included of course! I also dig how gen 8 is continuing what gen 7 did by having more Pokémon of lesser-used typings.

 

Ive just been trying to catch a Sizzlipede in route 3 before moving on. 1% encounter rate...

I’ve been playing for a bit over 10 hours and beaten three gyms, and it seems Pokemon are getting harder and harder to catch, particularly ghost/poison/flying/bug types. I’m striking out even when they’re down to 4% health. I’m probably just really bad at the game but it’s getting extremely frustrating. There’s definitely a step up in difficulty after the third gym.

The accessorizing is so cute. I love the game so far.

 

Just fyi it is absolutely imperative that you get a Flapple and name it xflapplexpiex.

 

I tried to catch a level 15 Ninjask (which was higher than my entire party) but the hail knocked it out after breaking out of like 6 Pokeballs lol.

 

part of me wants to skip the cutscenes but then the other half i dont want to be at a point where i stop knowing what is happening

 

I love the huge selection of pokemon early on. Did not expect to see a Chewtle as soon as I did.

 

Magikarp is already taking over Surprise Trade...

also the Poison uniform is pretty dope

 

If you don’t mind waiting there’s a guaranteed encounter a small bit later in the game.

 

The wild area reminds me of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in the best possible way

I just got Sizzlipede in surprise trade

 

No problem. He’s cool but I haven’t used him as I use Coalossal as my Fire type.

my only complaint of the whole experience so far is the catch level cap in the wild area. it totally breaks up what would have been my gameplay loop. i am wiping the floor with level 34 wild stuff with my level 32 monsters, yet i cant catch then because i don't have the third badge. had to leave the wild area before i actually wanted to because of it

I'm not really sure how to use those stamp cards, I assume you do it more after the first gym. I still haven't even gotten to the first one yet
