Gotcha, for some reason I thought it was the ability that was activated upon entering ZM haha I misread Yeah I'm not a fan of that ability and stat pool w/ ice typing
After being intitally a bit disappointed Corviknight after seeing it's movepool, I'm back on team Corviknight after seeing it's hidden ability
4x weakness to stealth rock could actually help it here though Edit: I'm an idiot it's not 4x weak before Zen Mode activates
That's a pretty good point hahaha I didn't think about that, just instantly pivot into ZM on turn 0 when Stealth Rock is up and unleash
This is the first time they’ve had evolutions of regional variants right? Wonder if we’ll ever see like a Kanto Mr. Rime or a Johto Cursola down the line.
I sketched out an idea for a team that might or might not work but it's probably gonna fall apart the second I actually play
update on my iOS Shortcut Pokedex: I implemented caching so it’s only slow the first time it loads. I also added instructions on how to delete the cache for when PokeAPI finally updates their list to include Gen8 (right now they don’t, understandable) right now choosing a Pokemon only redirects to the pokemondb.net webpage, but my plan is to use only PokeAPI in the future. Shortcut i also drafted a way to create competitive Pokemon template and upload them in Notes, but it’s not yet in a shareable state
I have a tentative team in mind that i think covers most of my bases. The only upsetting thing about it is that I wont be able to use Frosmoth if I go with it. But Intelleon can just function as an answer to Dragons and Grass if I put Ice Beam on it instead. We shall see haha
im just thinking sandstorm excadrill ttar corviknight ferrothorn still missing 2, that’s what im planning to use for now. it just looks so safe lol
Right now I have Excadrill / Tyranitar / Corviknight / Centiskorch / Polteageist / Inteleon haha (would probably use the gorilla over Inteleon for comp but I'm starting with Sobble so fuck it) I also thought of it in like 2 minutes so we'll see how long that lasts (especially once we start seeing what the general meta is and what the big guys we have to counter are) but yeah There's a ton of Pokemon I wanna use and idk if any of them have any compatibility
my plan is to destroy everything with ferrothorn, except if the opponent has a fire move, then switch to tyranitar lol. im actually thinking Overcoat mandibuzz, but iirc it lost toxic so not sure what it can do now i havent fully absorbed the new pokemon yet, but im sure i can add something to that team. either way
If anyone wants info on evolving Milcery to Alcremie Edit: actually here’s an updated link. (I’m putting it with the text so the tweet doesn’t automatically show up for those who want to figure it out themselves.)
can we all agree this is the worst prerelease hype cycle in the history of Switch Pokemon games named after weapons
