Yeah I think a lot of the criticisms people (and myself) have are completely valid and things the games need to work on badly, the problem is half the people saying it are like "I HOPE you're HAPPY GameFreak. If you want this piece of crap you're the problem and need to be held accountable for making my game bad" like wtf

 

I'm just not really convinced that its really as bad as alot of these people are saying. It would be one thing if they were hyped for this game up until this point, but the majority of people making these lists have had a vendeta against the game ever since it was revealed that the National pokedex was cut. I have a hard time thinking there isnt any bias here.

I also want to give these games a fair shake before i judge. Pokemon has been a part of my life for more than 20 years now, and Game Freak have yet to ever truly let me down. Even gen 4, my least favorite gen, was fun and enjoyable for me. No matter how much evidence there is, I am willing to see for myself and support them still for everything they have given me with their franchise. If that makes me a "corporate shill" to some people, so be it.

 

Game freak aren't some independent company that have full control over Pokémon. They have Nintendo AND the Pokémon company to please. No way it's as bad as the haters are implying

 

Yeah that might be what perplexes me most, like, it'd take a LOT to make a Pokemon game just straight up not fun to play at all. Regardless of how it might compare to other Pokemon games and regardless of how it works to continue the series, I'm sure it's a very fun standalone game for Pokemon fans and we're all gonna have fun with it.

 

Side note I know the Sobble line is apparently the worst competitively but I actually like the final evolution everyone hates and idk why but I do, it just works for me and I'm sticking by Sobble in these trying times

It's only the worst competitively when you consider hidden abilities though.

 

Yeah I saw it had the best base stats of the starters which is cool, I just don't know how much that will offset seeing the HAs out there and all

But doesn't really matter it's a Pokemon game in 2019 so we're getting all the starters anyway

95% of my posts on this music site are in the football thread though so I know who I’m choosing.

 

But MCR are reuniting and dont try to tell me that Sobble is not a fan.

Yeah. I think a lot of people do. I still don’t exactly know what Creatures Inc does.

 

I’m really bummed I won’t get to play until Friday night but I’m so excited to dive into this.

 

Talking about Pokemon SwSh all day yesterday inspired me to eat curry last night

I'm not annoyed by the people complaining like most of you are because I think it'll push a multibillionaire industry to do even better in the future. However, there are some folks complaining that are taking this wayyyyy too far, it's just a Pokémon game. Chill the hell out.
